Random width Birch is available in either S2S (surfaced 2 sides) or S3S (surfaced 3 sides). Sold by the board foot, you can find Birch from 4" - 7" wide and 6’ to 12' long. It is available in the following sizes and grades:

    Birch is straight, closegrained, with a fine and even texture. It works fairly easily with moderate dulling effects on cutters. It glues well with care and takes stain and polish extremely well. The Birch tree is also New Hampshire's state tree.
