Random width Cocobolo wood is available hit and miss planed (H&M). Sold by the board foot, you can find Cocobolo from 3" - 7" wide and 3’ to 6' long. It is available in the following sizes and grades:

Cocobolo will tend to have grain that is usually straight, but it is occasionally interlocked. Cocobolo needs to be pre-drilled before nailing and screwing but it will hold nails and screws well. Cocobolo is used for inlay work, pistol grips, knife handles, turnings. Cocobolo can casue irrattion to some individuals, and is not recomened to be used around areas with food contact unless a hard coat is inbetween the food and the wood.
