    Cumaru is sorted into light and dark boards. Once sorted light cumaru is also called Brazilian Teak. Dark Cumaru is also called Brazilian Walnut. Cumaru has a moderate blunting effect on cutters and blades. It will accepts varnish satisfactorily. Cumaru is also used for flooring, ship building, cabinetry, bridge construction, heavy construction, and fine furniture.
