    Maple is hard and heavy with good strength properties. Maple has good steam bending properties. Hard Maple is great for furniture, cabinets, flooring, veneers, countertops, and butcher blocks. Pre-drilling is recommended when nailing and screwing to prevent splitting. With care it machines well, turns well, and glues satisfactorily. Heavy staining will require a wood conditioner.
