Random width European Alder is available hit and miss planed (H&M). Sold by the board foot, you can find European Alder from 6" - 8" wide and 6’ to 12' long. It
is available in the following sizes and grades:
European Alder glues, takes a stain, and finishes well. It machines easily and smoothly with sharp cutting tools. European Alder is clearer and wider than our domestic Alder and it has simliar wood working properties. It is typically used in furniture, cabinets, moulding, and millwork. European Alder is also used for making electric guitar bodies.
