Random width Ipe is available hit and miss planed (H&M). Sold by the board foot, you can find Ipe from 4" - 13" wide and 6’ to 16' long. It
is available in the following sizes and grades:
Ipe is disease resistant and insect resistant, it has a Class A fire rating, which is the same rating that concrete and steel is given. Ipe can be very difficult to work with hand tools due to how hard it is. Due to the density of Ipe it is naturally resistant to rot.
