Light Cumaru is difficult to machine due to its density and its very similar to Ipe. It will have a fairly high blunting effect on tools. Because of its high density and oily nature. Light Cumaru is used for decking, boat making, and flooring. It nails and screws well but pre-drilling is necessary.
