Random width Poplar is available in either full rough, S2S (surfaced 2 sides) or S3S (surfaced 3 sides). Sold by the board foot, you can find Poplar from 4" - 11" wide and 6’ to 12' long. It is available in the following sizes and grades
Poplar has a white grain with some green to purple mineral streaking. Grown throught the USA. Works easily with hand or machine tools, glues, screws and nails well. Staining can be patchy but paints and varnish are easily applied. Used for furniture framing, interior joinery, toys, boxes, and plywood core stock.
