Wenge works fairly well with machine tools but any nails or screwing needs to be pre-drilled. For a glass smooth finish you will need to fill the grain and then a satisfactory finish can be attained. Wenge is used for flooring, turing, veneers, marquetry, interior and exterior joinery, and cabinets. Wenge comes from Cameroon, Gabon, Tanzania, and Mozambique.
