Average width tends to be around 6". Alaskan Yellow Cedar is easy to finish and machine. Great for carving with both hand and power tools, good to use for boat building. It's lightweight and strong. Alaskan Yellow Cedar is also used to make outdoor furniture, soundboards for guitars.
