Milling Lingo
Hit and Missed - means the planer removed the high spots off of the board but left the low spots. Surfaced and Straight line or S3S - means the board was planed down on both faces and 1 edge has been ripped. |

4/4 - Full Rough = 1" thick
4/4 - Hit and Missed Planed = 15/16" thick 4/4 - Surfaced and Straight lined = 13/16" thick |
5/4 - Full Rough = 1-1/4" thick
