Douglas Fir is one of the most common used woods in the Pacific Northwest. Its great for furniture, trim-work, cabinetry and doors.  With right finish you can use Doug Fir inside or outside. It's an incredibly valuable commercial timber, widely used in construction and building purposes. Fir is very strong for its weight and hardness.
