Use Ipe Oil® on your ipe, tigerwood, cumaru, or other exotic hardwood deck to preserve its natural beauty. Ipe Oil® Deck Finish is an oil-based natural wood finish designed with exterior hardwood decks in mind, making it the perfect choice.
WARNING: Do not leave rags balled up, they will catch fire or self-combust. Rags, brushes, rollers, steel wool or waste soaked with Penofin and Ipe Oil® Hardwood Deck Finish may also spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after each use, place waste materials in a sealed, water-filled metal container. Dispose of waste material and empty cans or unused portion in accordance with,local, state, and federal regulations.

Penofin Hardwood Formula Decking Oil with Ultraviolet Protection

MEETING THE DEMANDS OF EXTERIOR DECKS
​Natural oil based protective finish for exterior wood that does not peel, crack, flake or blister. Microporous, breathable finish allowing the wood to breath and reduces the risk of swelling and shrinkage. Water-repellent, extremely weather and UV resistant. Easy to apply as well as renew, no sanding or primer necessary. When dry, the finish is safe for humans, animals and plants and is suitable for children’s toys as per EN 71.3 (European norm).

The UV protection for an exterior oil is provided by pigments. Since the clear Deck Oil 1277 has no pigments (the only one in the line that doesn't) it will therefore allow for natural graying to occur, but yet will still preserve the wood.
